EARLY ENROLLMENT $35.00  *DAY OF $45.00

*(BOTH SATURDAY & SUNDAY: Early Enrollment $65.00) *(COME SATURDAY AND DECIDE ON SUNDAY: $80.00)

Yoga isn’t just physical. It’s a full-on practice with skillsets developed over thousands of years. This is barely hinted at in a regular class, but in Yoga x 3, we’ll focus broadly, explaining the tradition’s history, philosophy and practice… all in a 3 hour sweep.

In this training, we’ll engineer mind and body with new postures, breathing practices, and health secrets, while learning the philosophy and history of yoga’s abundant, time tested system.

Students who finish this workshop will learn how yoga evolved, understand it’s world view and learn new ways to align breath, body, and mind.

Eric Shaw is a scholar, yogi and creator of Prasana Yoga. He will also be here the following day, Sunday, March 25th, read below for more information. Eric visited Reno in the Spring of 2011 and offered a workshop; Secrets of the Sun Salutation and a really cool illustrated lecture called: Where Do Yoga Poses Come From? We are delighted to host Eric again this March. Join us in welcoming Eric to Reno! www.prasanayoga.com

All levels with Master Teacher, Eric Shaw from San Francisco – Secrets of Prasana Yoga: How We Create Power and Grace in Moving Yoga

Sunday, March 25th, 2012   12:30-3:30 PM

EARLY ENROLLMENT $35.00    *DAY OF $45.00

In this three-hour workshop, you will be introduced to a life changing concept: Alignment in Movement. Many of us know about allignment when we are standing still, but allignment in movement is a different animal. There is a yogic way to move through space and it affects every choice we make and everything we do. This workshop teaches new ways to cultivate energy and concentrate the mind by bringing feeling and precision to the simple act of movement.

This is the great science of moving yoga called Vinyasa. It has evolved from the lineage of the great teacher, Krishnamacharya. Here you will discover how prasana, or the wisdom behind “throwing” the body, takes you beyond the confusion of the mind, motion and emotion.

Prasana is something simple. It’s the surrender to chance, the dive into a pose during vinyasa, the accurate delivery of the limbs into a pose to make the body sing.

Eric Shaw created Prasana Yoga by bringing 25 years of movement, meditation and teaching practices together with novel styles of vinyasa and still yoga, and infusing his students’ physical practice with meaningful, traditional yogic philosophy. Eric offers students knowledge of the ancient yoga tradition attuned to the modern experience in upbeat, energetic classes informed by excellent knowledge of posture, meditation and breathwork. With certifications from Kripalu Yoga and Yogaworks, he is an E-500 Registered Yoga Teacher .

Eric Shaw is truly one of the most knowledgable and respected protectors of the sacred lineages of the yogic sciences, view his full resume and current works by visiting,  www.prasanayoga.com .
