Use your existing membership or a class pass to attend daily classes.Questions? Email carolabhyasi@gmail.comDescription:\nMysore Ashtanga yoga is a self practice based in the Ashtanga Yoga lineage. We practice a set sequence of postures where we flow with our breath\, focus on the posture and the gaze to cultivate a deep moving meditation.\nIn the first class you will learn the first posture… you learn surya Namaskar or the sun salutations. The following day you learn the next posture\, and so on. In your first days and weeks the teacher is super supportive and attentive with you\, teaching you the techniques and how to memorize the sequences. You don’t have to prepare or have anything memorized for the first class. You move through the Ashtanga sequence with your own breath and ability one pose at a time\, progressively. When you reach a pose that’s quite challenging you stop there\, allowing your body to integrate and open into the new form. Once you build up the strength and endurance to support the new posture you continue on through the sequence. The teacher works one on one with you and will support you through both weaknesses and strengths\, cultivating a balanced and harmonious practice. This method allows each person to deepen in their own practice. Mysore style is for every level\, even the complete beginner\, even if you’ve never stepped on a yoga mat before. The only requirement is that you make a commitment and show up at least 3 times a week. The more you show up the more you cultivate strength and grace. \nom shanti \n\n
