After three ACL reconstructive surgeries from years of playing competitive sports, I started practicing yoga in 2007, unable to touch my toes. I quickly realized the power a good yoga practice has for injury recovery and developed a passion for alignment-based yoga. I completed my 200 hour teaching training in 2014, a yin yoga teacher training in 2018, and am currently an E-RYT 200 yoga teacher. My training extends beyond the asana aspect of yoga as I have completed Reiki training under Kelly Aguilera. I firmly believe in the power of finding the balance between yang vinyasa style yoga and yin inspired deeper stretches in my classes. When I’m not teaching yoga, you can find me watching the weather. Overall, I aim to help my students find authenticity on and off the mat, because the one thing I’ve learned while working a fast paced news environment is that the lessons you learn in your practice most definitely apply off your mat.
