Mekala first encountered yoga when her sister dragged her to her first Vinyasa class in 2009. Knowing that her body needed yoga purely for the flexibility aspect, she continued taking classes as often as possible.  After a few short years of asana practice she had a thirst to seek out the other aspects of yoga, attending her first 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training in 2014. For Mekala the true connection of yoga happens when she meditates, allowing her the space to connect to her inner essence and further discover the energy that lives within us all.  She is excited to share her passion of yoga with you and hopes to see you in class soon.
